Moving weekend

So I moved into my new place Sunday!! Woooo...have actually settled in quite quickly, still got a few boxes to unpack but am having an evening off. Did some food shopping, prepared some 'smoothie fruit' and put a load of washing on...so yeah been a successful evening, now sitting down with you...and my Chanel nail polish...YAY!!

So my new room...I know you are all desperate to see it...

This is the stuff that the previous housemate had left...so it is now being stored back home. Next all the stuff I've brought...so far anyway...haha...

Busy week...and spending my voucher!

Wow...crazy busy week!!! Another week of going out for drinks, dinner and organising the move!! Yay, I am moving in tomorrow. It has been lovely staying with my friend but am definitely ready for my own space and kitchen and mugs etc etc etc!!!!

So went out for drinks on Wednesday night after work...and I have to tell you this lifestyle totally suits me. Straight from work to the pub and then home to bed at about 10:30, and because of the relaxed atmosphere in the office and all the tea and nibbles I don't generally feel like eating in the evening or if I do then some fruit does the trick. Now you might think I'm turning into the girl from tonight's 'Supersize vs Superskinny' but don't worry I'm having crackers and cheese and ham etc for lunch and once I've moved into my new place I'm going to make packed lunches like pasta salads, soups, homemade rolls and cous cous salads!!!!


Earlier in the week I spent the first part of my Westfield voucher:

£16.99 from River Island, I love it and its perfect for work and then going out. And with low loose sleeves its ideal for the hustle and bustle of the rush hour train journey...

....Then today after picking up the keys to my new place tonight I took a trip to Westfield and bought the limited edition Chanel nail polish that was released today!!!

HOW COOL!!!!!!!

A step back in time...

Yesterday I trekked around London for some viewings, and ended up at one in Battersea. Now for those of you who don't know I was born in Battersea, it was just when I was a few weeks old that my parents decided they didn't want to bring up two girls in London and moved us to the country! So technically I have returned to my roots...London has always called me. So our first house was in Battersea, so while I was there I decided to take a trip down memory lane...

The street...and as I walked down here there were a couple of houses for sale..so decided to call the estate agent and find out the asking price of one of them...£699,500!!!! Wish my dad had kept that house now!!!

First week at work over...

So...first week at work over! It's been a great week and I've learnt a lot and socialised a lot. Since Tuesday have had lunch with line manager, been to the cinema with 2 work mates and been out for lunch with 12 work mates today!! Plus my sister came down from Cardiff Thursday and took me out for dinner! She also spoilt me rotten:

Plus...(I know more) a £10 starbucks voucher and £25 Westfield voucher!!!

It's all been going really well..with 30 people in the office and most of them my age I am thoroughly enjoying myself. With the socialising aside I love the work too, I already have loads to do but I thrive on feeling busy and stressed so this really is the perfect job for me!! Plus the office is relaxed, fun, we listen to music, chat and wear what ever we like! YAY!!

I also had another viewing Thursday night but again no good :( it was only sharing with a lady who was the homeowner and although she was lovely I would have felt like I was staying in someone else's house the whole time!

However I had 3 viewings today including one with a colleague of my friend that I'm staying with!! It is only for 6 months because he is going to Australia for work but it least it will take the pressure off as I don't have to stay there for the full 6 months if I find somewhere before!!! So I'm going to take it unless the place I view tomorrow is PERFECT!!!
It has definitely lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. The room isn't huge, but it's all clean and nicely done..with a big living room! I can't wait to have my own room and space again!

First Day at work...

So...the viewings last night weren't great, although one was in this adorable little mews:

But inside...not a home for me!!

Great first day at work! Lots to take in though so am exhausted, so this will be brief. Have now also emailed  5 more properties about viewing!!

Went shopping after work and bought a cute top in the gap sale:

...with chiffon style back...with a stripe detail!!! And a bargain..only £9.99!! yay!!

Yesterday's post...finally posted!!

4 viewings tonight. I arrived into London Paddington at 16:30 and activated my tube pass by starting the next leg of my journey at Paddington on the district line to West Brompton where I changed onto the overground to Clapham Junction. After the long (not really long, but it felt it with the amount of stuff I had) trek uphill to my friends house I am able to sit down for 10 minutes.

My viewings plan for tonight: - from Clapham to Kensington Olympia, then Shepherds Bush, then Maida Vale and then finally to St Johns’ Wood. I also have another viewing for Thursday, I tell you what if I don’t find a place soon it’s not from lack of trying!

I finally heard back from the girls house I really liked last week, they have someone else…I have decided therefore if I really like a place now I have got to try not to feel shy or intimidated, no matter how many people there are there.

So first day at work tomorrow, I’m pretty nervous, but throughout this whole time the job part is the bit least worrying me. I am so excited to have escaped the monotony of my Marks and Spencer in Malvern that anything new, especially something so exciting, and in London and related to fashion is far from terrifying to me!! In truth I cannot wait!!!

So...off to London tomorrow, everywhere here is a mess at the moment, half packed, half sorted, half clean!!! Have managed to arrange 3 viewings for tomorrow though so fingers crossed. One in Maida Vale, one in Olympia and one in St Johns' Wood!!

The House Hunt

So the house hunt is well under way, and with 2 days to go before I start my new job in London there is a certain sense of urgency now! I have got someone to stay with to start with but I don't want to be there long because I don't want to be a nuisance.

I've viewed 5 places so far and only one I've liked...however despite emailing them as soon as getting back that I was interested and wanted to take the room I have heard nothing. I am therefore assuming that I haven't got it and am continuing to hunt...so far nothing really!!

Any tips...please let my know!!
